The road less traveled…

My partner and I were attempting to become pregnant. For many reasons – including my sanity – we have put that on the back burner for now and are just working on walking down the road less traveled. We've been through Katrina – moved to Colorado – and our next adventure is headed to California.

Day 5 -What do you prefer to do on your birthday? If you have children, what do you prefer to do for their birthday?

My birthday is really not a big to-do around here.  Neither of our birthdays is.  We usually end up going out for dinner and a movie or something.  Every year we tell each other not to buy us anything for our birthdays, but Lori always ruins that by buying me something fabulous so of course I have to get her something for hers! Both of our birthdays are in December, so growing up they usually got lumped in with Christmas.

When we have a child, I want her birthday to be huge.  I want neighborhood kids playing games and having a jumping castle.  I want them to have face painting and pony rides and EVERYTHING!

Day 6 – When was the last time you tried something new? What was it and what was the result?

I’m terrible about never trying anything new – especially when it comes to food.  I’m the girl that gets the same thing EVERY time she goes to a restaurant.  Shayne finally talked me into trying sushi and I have to say I’m happy I did.  In actuality, I only eat crab and shrimp…..but whatever!!

Day 7 – What’s your favorite thing to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner? If you have children, what are their favorites?

Breakfast- A ham and cheese (preferably Swiss) croissant.  I LOVE croissants!!  I love croissants much more than I should ever love croissants.  I love them so much I could probably eat nothing but croissants every day for the next 10 years and not get tired of them.

Lunch – Qdoba – I’m a Qdoba queen! mmmmmm chipolte ranch dressing!!

Dinner – I don’t have a favorite here – we usually go for easy
