The road less traveled…

My partner and I were attempting to become pregnant. For many reasons – including my sanity – we have put that on the back burner for now and are just working on walking down the road less traveled. We've been through Katrina – moved to Colorado – and our next adventure is headed to California.

Traveling… January 9, 2011

Ok…I love to go new places…HOWEVER the hours of travel time involved absolutely drives me bananas. Currently I’m sitting in Denver International Airport waiting for my wife to arrive. Because I had to purchase my ticket by a deadline set for work and she wasn’t sure by said deadline that she’d be able to take the time off work, we ended up on different flights at different times. Thank goodness it was only a 2 hour difference, but sitting in an airport sucks. I’d surely never make it if I ever got actually stranded in one.

The trip was fantastic. I managed to keep my mind off the whole TTC thing the entire time ( hence my lack of blog posts). Marco Island has got to be one of the most beautiful places on Earth and you can’t complain about having to work when the afternoons include dinner on the beach, pool time, and relaxing in the hot tub to the sound of the ocean. The conference was actually very interesting and informative. I’ve been a bit down in the dumps about my job lately, so sales training that actually wasn’t boring and motivational speakers paired with some fun in the sun was just what the doctor ordered. The conference actually ended Wednesday and we moves hotels to Fort Myers ($50 a nigh compared to $200 a night in Marco Island…I love Priceline Name Your Own Price!). We spent time on the beach, in the pool, and took a dolphin watching/shelling boat tour. All in all it was wonderful…and I may need to make plans to move to Florida!

Well, she should be here any second so I should get prepared to head home. I’ll get some pictures up here soon. We had a great vacation…but I am SO GLAD to be home!!!
